Catching up with Kermit & Nanchan~

Today finally had a catch-up with my old-time friends~

Went City Square Mall... And we have some nice Italian-Japanese pasta and pizza - Saizeriya Italian restaurant.... The food is Ok, normal.. And its strange that this concept include "free-flow" drinks, where we had to do it ourselves... But the good thing about this place is....... the food is exceptionally CHEAP!!! A whole 9-inch pizza cost only $5.80nett! And my pasta cost S$5.80nett too! Super duper cheap!!! 3 of us only cost $23 in total...  As usual, I totally forgot to take photos.. Hahahaha!!! :p

Hmmm... I haven't been to this mall for quite some time.. I think the last time we went to this mall was during the time when we were celebrating Nan-chan's promotion... See post here.

It was nice to catch up with the gals... I think it has been more than 1 month since we last met. The last time we met was when I went to catch the gals for lunch after my meeting. :)

And it has been nearly 2 years since the 3 of us went Japan!!! Wah... time really slipped by real fast!!!

Taking Espanol!!~

I finally started my Español!! Well, actually not yet cos the school (las lilas) needs to have at least 5 students before they can commence class. Right now its only 2 of us... So I guess tomorrow might not have class...

If so, I would have to wait till 9 Nov for my first... :) Every Monday and Wed! I got the textbook and workbook.. At first I thought I will be able to do my own study by reading the textbook, but I was shocked! The whole entire book is in SPANISH! and the Audio CD is all in Spanish too! I have no idea what the CD was blabbering... :(

so... yeah, right now I will be downloading some spanish lessons online and start to learn the basics first. My baby got some CD with English explanation which will be helpful...

Anyway I am not sure if there will be any classes at all on 9 Nov... cos if they still cannot find another 3 more students, they will postpone again... Well... i think spanish is not that popular in SG I guess. :)

And I'm still aiming to start French next year!!! :)

Dinner @ True Blue

We went True Blue, an authentic Peranankan restaurant to celebrate Jasmine birthday... This place was recommended by my fren. Although I am not very familiar with Peranakan food, but from the deco, I gathered that this place must be quite nice and popular. It's customers are mostly foreigners and tourists. Thus of cos the prices are very STEEP! hahahha!!!

But its OK, me and Betsy shared the cost, so its still affordable. And we didn't order a lot anyway, cos 3 of us were not that hungry.

This place is very nice, just that parking is a problem... I had to drive a few rounds in the carpark before I can find a slot...

Dinner @ Holland Village

It has been a very long time since I've been to Holland Village.. Basically I like the place, just that the parking is really quite a headache for me... And ever since the Circle Line opened a few months back, I guess this place must be really crowded...

Anyway, Kit asked me out for dinner and she suggested Amici @ Holland Village. So, since I have nothing on that evening, I decided to go and take a look. The traffic was not bad and I reached on time!

The place looks exactly the same actually... :) nothing has changed. Just that there are lots more people around.

Anyway, we didn't eat at Amici cos it was full. We didn't expect the place to be so packed on a weekday. So we settled at another cafe. Cannot remember the name of the cafe though... :)

Actually the pasta was great! :) I have learnt to appreciate pasta more and more. And I find myself wanting to eat pasta more than previously. :) Must be the influence of my baby... hahahah!

心血来潮 go Malacca!!!

Well, we drove to Malacca over the weekend, to take a break.. It was a good drive actually, and I'm glad P was a good driver.. :)

We stayed at Holiday Inn and it was a super nice place. We had a really nice suite and I really LOVED it!!! :)

I didn't manage to take any pictures as we were there to just rest and relaxz... We went eating and walking and partying... But unfortunately it started raining heavily in the night and we were drenched at the night market! hahahah!! Luckily we quickly bought a umbrella for RM15 and caught a taxi back to the party place called "Movida"... It was quite a nice place, with nice music, but the crowd was mostly locals and thus, we felt out of place...

And to make matter worse, we decided to leave Movida to find a place to eat, but in the end, we couldn't. So, feeling tired, we decided to drive back to hotel. And... we were trapped in a super bad traffic JAM! :(

But luckily, my baby was good in driving and we managed to squeeze through the bad traffic and made a miracle "turn" into a perfectly clear road!! and a speedy road back to hotel!

We had supper at a balinese cafe near our hotel before going back to koonz... both of us were super tired by then and we knocked out till the next morning!!

The next day, we went for shopping spree (I bought 3 pairs of shoes!!! YEAH!!) and also a quick trip to the Maritime musuem... This Maritime Museum was super small and no way in compare to our newly opened Maritime Musuem in RWS... Seriously!!!!

We had a good time walking around and we decided to drive back to have a good dinner. :) However, along the road, P suddenly rem that we needed massage!!! It would be a waste if we did not go for cheap massage when we were there... But unfortunately, the massage place that we saw the other day ws closed on sunday... :( So we checked the hp for spa in the vicinity... And it brought us to another place, which took us another 30mins on the road...

It was already 3pm when we reached the other spa place... and guess what??? The spa was CLOSED long time ago!!! Apparently its website was still around and thus we were led there... sigh.... so.... we wasted so much time... anyway we decided to abort the spa thingy and headed back home... :(

we reached SG around 6pm... and we decided to go our fav pasta place at Cuppage... :) It was a nice weekend... :)

QB hair cut!!!!

It was fun!!!

Altho I have passed by many times, I have never been to such quick-cut hair salon at all...

And since my baby only need a simple hair cut, I brought him to this place, where it was cheap and fast!!!

And while my baby was having his S$10 hair cut, I went to the shop besides the haircut place and bought 2 pairs of earrings for $10 too!!! :)

"Map Wallet"

Hans came to SG for a visit and we went out dinner with him and his group of friends.... We were having chilli crabs at The Red House at Robertson Quay. As the table was tooooo big, we can only interact with the friends sitting closer to us.

What interest me was Philip's wallet... I was sitting beside him. At first I thought he brought a map... But after some conversation, I realised he has been living in SG for a few years.. So I was puzzled why he was holding a map...

Then to my surprise, when we were about to pay, he took the map and OPEN it!

Yes! It is actually a WALLET!!! He told us that there was an artist in "donno where" (cannot rem the country) and he gave his map to the artist and the artist folded the map into this wallet for him! It has been a few years and the wallet still look good! This is a good way to avoid pickpockets. Cos pickpockets would tink that this was just a map.... :)

F1 2011... :)

SGP F1 has been in SG for the past 4 years... but i have NEVER been to any one of them...

But this year, I went! HAHA!! Surprise surprise!!! I'm such a lazy bum but still, I managed to pull myself to go...

Oh well... Actually I wasn't very keen to go... But my baby wanted to go take a look, and since I had some passes, so I had to go with him... And in the end, it was actually a good experience! Although it was quite tiring (we had to walk walk walk walk walk!!!!) but it was quite fun and nice to see fast cars zooming by! :)
And the fun thing is, we managed to "sneak" into the grand stand for a few times!! hahahah!!! :) But unfortunately we didn't manage to pull the trick on the last day... :(

View from the grand stand... :)

My first time putting on ear plug... quite weird feeling!
That's the baby that pulled me to the race! hahahah!!! We had a good time walking (till I nearly died) and also drinking lots of beer!

(The young chap besides us was soooo engrossed in the race... he had a device that showed live reports of the race... hmmm....)

Took a last photo before we left the place for home... Feeling really tired by then!

Below is a photo that we took when we went to a Ferrari Party a day before F1... :)

Terracotta exhibition @ ACM

As a local, we would never stepped into the ACM, cos honestly this gallery was quite small and the exhibits inside were not really nice.
But since my baby is a "tourist", of cos he would like to go see the Terracotta.. oh well, although i already knew that this exhibition is gonna be quite a let-down (sorry ACM, doesn't mean to be so honest...), but guess I have to let my baby see it so that he will believe me... He seemed quite fascinated by the banner when he was roaming around one day.
Since we are going to F1, and ACM is along the way, we stopped by ACM for the Terracotta exhibition. And yes, it was Disappointing.
the exhibition was very small and the exhibits inside were not the authentic ones. They were just simple replications. And the exhibits look really lousy. The exhibits were only inside one small room... That's all...

It was only recently that I found out that there is actually an iphone apps, that can make the exhibition more exciting! too bad.... :(

Eating... Eating.... EATING!

Yes, sigh.... I have been eating... eating... eating and EATING every single moment for the past 4 weeks!!! I am really putting on weight already... sigh....
Most of the time I would stop myself from taking photos of us eating, so as to try to forget that I have been gorging myself with FOOD... and 真的是自欺欺人啊!
Anyway, found some photos actually.. :)

Having late night wine and snacks at Intercon victoria bar... Been there almost every nights for beer and wine...

The spring rolls were quite nice actually...

As usual, P with his food... hmmm... cannot rem what he ordered though...

The following was our lunch at Illuma Empire state... I have never eaten there before... :)

The fish and chips was in such big portion!!! Of cos I didn't finish it!!! :p
