Last day in Seoul.. Day 8...

Today is our last full day in Seoul! Time passed so fast! :(

Anyway today is R&R day... We have been on tour for the past 4 days! So it is nice to sleep late a bit, and no need to wake up like 7am in the morning!!! LOL!

Today the weather was good! It was very sunny and not so cold anymore. So we decided to go Han River for a walk cos if the weather is cold, we heard the Han River might not be a good place to go as it would be super damn cold de!

But we were lucky! Today is a sunny day!!! Happy sia~~~

Ah Bee had cravings for porridge so we went to a restaurant opposite our hotel to have our porridge breakfast (Ah bee's fav) and it was yummy! I suspected the restaurant was opened by a Japanese owner cos lots of Japanese wordings in the shop. And I noticed the patrons are mostly women. LOL!

After breakfast, we took train to Han River. And when we reached..... It was such an amazing sight! I was surprised and very happy to see such nice blossoms!!! :)

Many people are having lunch picnic.. So nice!!!

Ah bee tried sleeping at one of the bench. It was funny! LOL!

After a nice walk along the park, we walked to the River... And it was quite a sight too! It was slightly cold nearer to the river cos the breeze was strong.

After a nice walk in the park, we took the train to visit Gangnam area.

(Did you see Ah bee in the picture? LOL)

There was a Star avenue too, similar to Los Angeles and HK Star of fame walk.

Cute bears! Same concept as the ones I saw in Berlin!

Anyway I saw a funny sight... I thought Gangnam and Agpujeong Area are for rich people. But then... I saw many "HDB" lookalike flats there! They look really like factory lor. These are for rich people meh??? Strange leh!!!

Maybe these flats are expensive cos it is at the central location. LOL...

Anyway both of us were very tired by then. Gangnam was really nothing much anyway... It is like a quiet Ginza to me... Well, it was our 8th day in Korea and since we are going back tomorrow, we decided to go back to Myeong Dong to have a rest.

We went back to Red Sun for late lunch again as we love the food! It was Yummy de lor! :)

Thereafter, we went back to the hotel and nuah... Near evening time, since the weather was good, I decided to walk out on my own to buy dinner (cos Ah bee was too full to eat any dinner). The weather was damn good! I didn't even need to wear my jacket leh! Aiyo... We should have came 1 week later and the weather would have been perfect! :)

Anyway I bought cup noodles and a packet of crackers (as usual) and took a slow walk along Myeong Dong to see if I want to do any last min shopping... Actually there was nothing much to buy lah... LOL! Cos I am really not very interested in the cosmetics and clothings. Anyway I have a super great time already, no need to buy anything de!!! :)

We packed early and have an early night... Sad to be leaving this nice city!!!

Nami Island... Day 7... and I am in Love!

Aww... Nami island... What a nice name...

It was my Day 7 in Seoul and today, we are going on a day trip to Nami Island.. And... We have to once again wake up at 8am cos the guide is coming at 9am! OMG... This has been my 5th day straight that I have to wake up early... Yawnz....

I didn't know anything about Nami island though... I haven't even heard about the name! LOL! What a suaku! Anyway, follow Ah Bee can liao lah.. Why think so much leh?? :p

The tour guide, Sharon came at 9am sharp and we hopped onto the mini van to go another hotel to pick up 5 people, we were told. We waited inside the van for the other 5 people... We heard there will be a couple and a family of 3.

Ah bee's canvas shoes!

After about 10mins, only a couple came up the van.. Sharon told us the family had to cancel the trip last min due to some other appointments... Hmmm... Like that also can meh?? Book already then cancel without advance notice? Then like dat need to pay or not? Cos apparently we only pay the tour guide at the end of the trip.

Anyway, not my business lah.. We just happily go on our way to Nami Island! It is about 1.5hour ride to the ferry terminal.

The sun was rising high... It was nice weather!!! :)

We reached the ferry terminal and we are about to board the ferry!

See how these people are "covered" up?? LOL! Got that cold meh???

Wonder why Ah Bee took photo of my boots?!?!?!? Maybe her hands slipped.. But anyway, I love my new boots! I purposely bought these pairs of boots to go climbing de... :)

Yay! Finally we reached!

Lucky we arrived early.. There wasn't many tourists to fight for photo space... LOL!

I love the place already! The weather was nice too! I didn't know this is the place that they filmed Winter Sonata.. LOL! No wonder many couples will want to come here for wedding photos!

It was said that the person who bought the island had a dream of making this place like a country, so it was named as "Naminara Republic".

The tour guide left us to explore the island ourselves cos the island is a small one. We can basically walked the entire island on foot, within 2 hours!!! Wow!! I didn't know that!!! :) Amazing!

The owner likes beer (we heard) and he collected many beer bottles from different countries and used the bottles to decor the place... Nice!!!

A "Christmas tree" made up of beer bottles!

The cherry blossoms are also nice here...

We walked leisurely along the nice pathway... And we saw Raccoon! So cute de!!!

There are many trees lining the path and it was really nice! :)

Ah Bee asked me why I am so fascinated by the trees.. I donno leh! I just love them! The way they lined up against the pathway... I just love the height and depth they bring to the photos!

I didn't watch this drama though. LOL!

And strangely, I saw alot of stones stacking up.

I also must try to stack one!!! LOL!

The island is beautiful... Although there are still a few constructions around.. Spoil the atmosphere a bit though... Saw a few trucks and bulldozers...

We decided to take a break since we have walked the entire island already.

Oh yar... I was very pissed at the Chinese tourists... I was trying to buy some An pan bao from a store and while we were all patiently waiting for the baos to be steamed, some China tourists came by and started cutting queue and all rushed in front of me to grab the baos! OMG!!! So unglam de! Everyone was patiently and quietly waiting but these people just rushed in front and cut queue! I was soooo mad! So I decided to walk back to Ah Bee empty handed...

Then, of cos my Ah bee decided to go see and buy the baos for me! So nice! And she came back with 2 baos! Yay! Long live my Ah Bee! She has beaten those irritating uncouth Chinese tourists! I totally so pissed off with them lor! Sigh...

Yummy de lor!

We went to meet our tour guide and we took the return ferry back to Seoul land.

And we had lunch at a traditional restaurant opposite the ferry terminal.

This galbi was so-so only. The one we ate at Dongdaemun was so much better! LOL! Now I can tell what is good and bad galbi!!! :)

After lunch, we proceed to the next location. I didn't know what was that cos I didn't bother to read the itinerary that Ah Bee sent me... Hahahaha! Too lazy lah... I will just follow mah, who cares! :p

The next stop was the place where the drama "Love from the Star" was filmed. I have watched this episode!!! So I knew what was that place! It was like a small French town - called Petite France. And I remembered watching an episode on Running Man that was filmed here as well. Nice!

This place was famous for many dramas.. Like Secret garden and Love from the star.

This is the place that Running Man filmed the episode on Snow White! I remembered well!!! :)

OMG! I donno why I wanna do that.. So embarrassing!! LOL! I look like a fat pig besides her! :(

After walking the small town, there was a nice puppet show at the main entrance. I was enjoying the stage before the show!! LOL!

Finally the show started! It was funny!

I love the music! Nice!!!

After the puppet show, we proceed to the last destination, which is the Ginseng factory. However as both Ah Bee and I were not interested in Ginseng (and I am not prepared to buy any ginseng anyway), we asked the tour guide if she could drop us somewhere. So she spoke to the driver and we were dropped off near the city area.

We wanted to go Gyeongbokgung Palace. Cos we heard the blossoms are very nice there. We were very smart... The tour guide told us we could take a taxi there, but we decided to try taking the bus! We made it! It is actually not that difficult cos there was a straight bus to the temple.

Yay! We reached!!!

I was feeling tired suddenly and wasn't keen to go into the Palace. It was past 4pm already. So the Palace is closing soon too. Anyway I am not that keen to go inside to look at building and structures and history lah.. LOL! I need aircon!!! :)

So after taking a few pictures, we decided to go to Seoul Bus Terminal for some leisure shopping and to find our dinner.

The bus terminal was like a "pasar malam" type of mall.. Unfortunately not my kind of shopping though. LOL! Anyway we were hungry and decided to try the beer+chicken combi.

See my tired face?? LOL!

After some fried chickens, I am alive!!! LOL!

We were very tired... Can imagine that.. So we made our way back to the hotel... And we had an early night... Tomorrow will be our last full day in Seoul... Better make the full use of it!!!
