New iphone 5!

Remembered I broke my iphone 4's screen in Paris (first day in Paris somemore! Sigh....)?

I decided to buy a new one... iPhone 5 (normal one!)...

I'm very happy with my new iphone cover! So cute!!!

But actually, it is very bulky... Difficult to hold it in my small hand... hmmm... Well anyway, it's cheap... Only S$12! Yay! :)

Dinner with Jas and Betsy again...

Asked Jas and Betsy out for dinner as I need to buy Pounds and Euros from Jas... she had some Kroners too. So I will buy all from her too. :)

Chanced upon this Japanese restaurant and was surprised that it is buffet-styled. OK, normal buffet right? Then we realized that it is "one-price-for all you-can-eat"!

We just need to order and order and then pay a fixed price of about S$35 (I think), Good deal leh! Cos they have all the good stuff and quite fresh too!

Happy!!! :)

Nitrogen-made Ice Cream! Am such a sua-ku! LOL

Didn't understand what this is all about at first... My bro Steven told me there is an expensive ice cream store that just opened... and they specialize in making ice cream on-the-spot... So customers all have to wait at least around 5min for their ice cream!

huh? Make ice cream on the spot? How to make ice cream within 5 min!?!?!

So I suaku mah.. And I went over to take a look.

The store looks nice leh! Very trendy and like a science lab!

(Nice chemist-drawings on the wall!)

(Later I got to know that these bottles contain real puree of flavors)

Nice counter design too! Neat and simple!

We had a short chat with the "scientist" Patrick (cos all of them wore scientist robe) and he explained that they don't sell ice cream. They MAKE ice creams! LOL! So cheesy!

So we decided to order one and see how he MAKE the ice cream lor! I ordered the "Popcorn" ice-cream as this is one of their signature ice cream.

Step one:
He took the real "popcorn" puree from the counter and pour into a bowl.

Then he placed the bowl into a stirrer-machine to stir the puree.

While the puree is still being "stirred", he took out real popcorns and put it into the bowl of puree to be stirred as well.

While both the puree and popcorns are stirred, he took out the nitrogen tank and started pouring out the liquid nitrogen. He told us that they are all being trained to handle nitrogen cos if they are not trained, they can get burnt very easily! Ooooo... Dangerous!!!

The liquid nitrogen was buzzling in the jar! Just like hot boiling water!

So the next step is to carefully pour this liquid nitrogen slowly into the bowl of popcorn puree.

After that, just let the nitrogen "interact" and "Freeze" the puree!

After a few seconds, the ice-cream is READY to be scooped out!!! That's amazing!!

The funny thing is.... We only ordered 1 small scoop (just to try out) and we were given a BIG bowl for the ice cream. Patrick told us that this is the standard presentation of the ice cream for sit-in customers.

See the BIG bowl? You must be thinking that maybe we ordered 20 scoops of ice creams.... But....

There was only 1 scoop of ice cream in this big bowl!

LOL!

We were impressed by the ice-cream making process and quite a good experience to see our own ice-cream being made fresh on the spot. The cost is reasonable too, about S$6.90 per scoop (slightly on the high-side but then, hey! We got our ice-cream made for us right before our eyes!)

But the presentation has to improve though. We really felt stupid eating out of such a HUGE bowl for just ONE small scoop of ice cream and it is really tough to scoop the ice cream out of this bowl too!

Overall a good experience! And it is damn tasty! Of course! It is made with REAL popcorn puree and popcorns!!!

Mummy's church family day...

We had fun in my mum's church family day in Sep... My mummy sponsored over 1000 bottles of drinks and we felt happy that we contributed to the carnival! :) We ate and ate, play and play... Lucky that the weather was not too hot nor rain! Yay!

Feeling bored... and playing with my cracked-screen phone... See some funny faces of me! Muahahaha!!!

(my nephew Roy put a bear on my head, and he was giggling away, thinking that it was so funny! So I snapped a picture of myself being "tortured" by my little naughty nephew!) LOL
