Hahah! I am so in love with my new "dog" that I named "Pucco". He is a beanie dog and I saw him at City Square mall after my dental appointment. It cost only S$10 for 2 dogs, so I bought 2. And he is soooo cute! Supposed to give one to my sis, but she is not interested in soft-toys. So I kept both! One put in office and one on my bed.
I can't help it but cuddle him every time I'm in bed or "torture" him (by squeezing him when I'm stressed or knocking his head on my desk when I'm in the office).
Opps... I'm such a sadist! Hahah! :)

New shoes - for Zumba! :)
Yesh! To give myself a treat, I decided to buy myself a new pair of shoes for Zumba! My sis told me Asics was good. So I went and picked up a nice pair of Asics shoes...
It was expensive! S$159 original price. Luckily I went on Boxing Day and there was a 30% discount! YAY!!! I didn't realise it actually. Hahaha! :p
Nice purple shoes!!! Yay!! :)

S$1 set meal! Super yummy!
Today I went to a new cafe opening at Genting Centre. The place was nice and cosy and most importantly, I ate my life's first S$1 set meal! Believe it or not, as today was the opening day, all set meals are priced at S$1! Including drinks!
OMG! I don't believe it! So I went with my bro Steven and during paying, I pulled out S$20 and passed to the cashier. She "gasped" and told me that she need only S$2.
Huh?! Really??? 2 set meals only S$2??? What a good deal! LOL!
And the food was super yummy too! Too bad the deal is only for 1 day... Hahaha!!! If not I sure will recommend my friends to all come here to eat! :)

Xmas housewarming & mahjong-ing at Mic's place!
Finally Mic's place is ready to 见人了! He has basically moved in around 6 months but as he was busy, he didn't really complete the furnishing until recently.
We went to his place on Xmas day for housewarming and Xmas celebration. And Brenda was itching for mahjong! I am still a beginner in Mahjong (actually worse than beginner! I totally cannot remember how to play!) and was very prepared to lose money! I even asked my mum to lend me $60 cash to lose. Hahaha! I very 自知自明的 lor!
Before the mahjong game, we have a feast! These were mainly home-cooked.
Brenda went to buy a roast chicken... Yummy!
After the meal (we were all small eaters anyway), of cos we have to start the Mahjong game...
My main highlight would be the wine.. Hahah.. But as I was still nursing a headache, I can't drink alot. And also, as it was Xmas day, I was afraid of roadblocks too. I need to send Brenda back to Beach Road, so it would be quite dangerous to drink too much... Too bad... :(
Anyway, I had a very embarrassing start to the game as I really cannot rem the game at all. They told me I can "eat" whatever tiles that Brenda put out. So I tot I can just take the tile back into my own. So I took...
Then they all told me to "show the tiles"... I was like... Show what?? They said that if I took the tile from Brenda, it must be becos I must have 3-in-a-row tiles, so I must show the 3 tiles out.
OMG! I didn't have any 3-in-a-row! I thought I can just take her tile anyhow. Hahahaha!!! So embarrassing hor! :p
Anyway, I started to get the hang of the game.... But still, I lost almost every game and I suay suay always was the one putting out the winning tile for the winner. So I always ended up paying double! Throughout the game, I was thinking "Die ah... Would my $60 not enough???" Better *pray pray*...
Hahah!! Luckily, my luck came and I won 2 games (out of many many games!!!) and I even know how to 听牌! Hahah! I am a fast learner! :)
Well, in the end, as I need to leave at 1030am (I got to go work tomorrow de lor!), we played from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, about 3 hours. After tabulating the winnings, I was very surprised that I only lost..................
S$2.20!!!
REALLY??? After 3 full hours of gruelling games where I only won 2 games, I only lost S$2.20??? Hahahah!!! I thought I might have already lost S$60! Or at least S$20!
Heng ar!! Maybe my 2 winnings did help a bit. :)
Anyway, after the mahjong, we did the gift-exchange! Felt like teenagers! :) Hahah!
Merry Xmas!!! :)

Supporting my bro for his Xmas performance!
Once again, my bro is acting in his church Xmas celebration! He is acting as one of the Sherpards... I have not read any Bible, so I am not sure what is the story... But who cares! My bro is a good actor and good choir singer too! His voice is simply amazing!!!
Before going to the church, my mum invited my sis and her family to come over to our place for a quick simple dinner. We do not have time to cook, so I rushed home after work to bring my mum out to ta-pao all the food. We went to the new Zi-char place at Lor Liew Lian to pack some simple food. This new eatery was good and the food was not overly priced or oily. That's why we pack our dinner there once almost every week.
We bought fried rice, mee goreng (my fav!), vege, tofu and egg! Simple but yummy!
My sis came and we started taking group photo!
After yummy dinner, we drove over to the Church and at the entrance, we saw our bro! Hahaha!!! His make-up and dressing was funny! Really looked like a sherpard! :p
After some photo taking at the entrance, we were ushered into the church to wait for the start of the performance. While waiting, we started taking some photos!
Haha! See the cheeky look at Roy's face? Think the flash was too bright!
At around 7.30pm, the show started! The whole performance was in Mandarin... And well, it was ok. The actors were putting a good effort in telling the wonderful story of how Jesus came to our world.
After the performance, we went over to take a photo with our cousin, Zen. He was part of the performance as well, acting as the "Professor" (I have no idea what this role was!).
We went home after the church service and my Mum suggested to cut and eat the logcake that my Sis bought for us. Although we were still quite full from the dinner, I think it is very meaningful to eat logcake on Xmas eve! :)
As usual, the kids fight to cut the cake... Hahaha!
The cake was very nice! Soft and fluffy! And there was some raspberry in the middle, I think!
And funnily, we were debating if the decorations on the cake can be eaten. And the kids started to "dismantle" the decor! And finally, I got the Santa's head!!! Eeeeeee!!!

But really, I didn't eat the head! Hahah! I think it must be sugar... So not so good for me! :)
Overall it was a very nice and cosy Xmas eve celebration this year... Look forward to a better year next year! :)

My BFF Nan's ROM... Congrats!!! :)
Yay! I was very excited when Nan told us that she and Ben were planning to get married. It was a very good news indeed! Ever since Kermit got married in 2005 (and divorced in 2008), none of us has any luck in this area...
So I am very happy for Nan as she finally found her man and Ben is very good to her. :)
See her wedding invite via mobile below. It was cute and fun! Not the usual boring wedding cards....
After many weeks of preparation and venue sourcing, they finally settled for Fullerton hotel suite. At first, when I saw her message, I was not very sure what she mean... Fullerton Suite?? You mean inside the room? Got such big room meh? And hotel allow them to have food and ceremony inside the room meh?
And yes, she told us that it would be inside the room! And the hotel allow them to invite 20 pax for dinner. Wow... That was amazing!
So I went and sure enough, the room was at Suite 881. Nice number!!! And coincidentally, there was a Ferrari owners club Xmas dinner happening at the same time, at level 4. Kermit told me that she saw lots of Ferraris at the lobby valet parking area, but as I walked in from the basement carpark from One-Fullerton side, I didn't get to see those cars...
And so... I walked to the lift and press "8"... Auspicious number!!!
Finally I reached the suite and walked in... I wasn't very sure if I had entered the right place cos it was basically no one inside the room, except for rows of buffet food. And then I saw the outdoor patio!
And Ben saw me and beckoned me to come out... And out i went! And saw the whole gang there! Ben's parents and relatives and Nan's parents and relatives.
Long time didn't see Nan's dad and mom... We used to go Nan's house when we were in Sec school cos both Nan and Kermit's houses were near school. I was the only one who lived far from East lor.. Haha!
Obviously her dad was happy to see me, although he couldn't really recognize me already! I guessed I have changed quite a lot bah. I used to be plump and chubby and now I am slightly less than that (I hope!!).
And we started to exchange presents (travel presents from Dubai and Xmas presents and angbao!).... I loved this candid photo of us receiving Nan's presents from Dubai... I was basically like "Woooo.. what's this?" in this picture! Hahahah! Funny!
And many many pictures of us!
Actually Nan already done her ROM earlier that day. Cos her mom was not feeling well, so she only invite relatives to be there, so to ensure that the place would not be too crowded. Thus, although we were not there to witness the ROM signing ceremony, we were happy for her and glad that she invited us to join her in this special day! And thereafter, Nan sent us her earlier ROM photos via dropbox.. Nice!!! :)
Aww.... SWEET! :)
Nice view! :)
Pretty bride!
Happy family photo! :)
And subsequently... I remembered us taking "trio" photos during Kermit's ROM day in 2004 and dug out the picture. It was amazing!
We all looked so young back then! Hahaha!!! I tried to find a picture of all 3 of us in the same position to do a comparison. Funny! We haven't really changed alot though. It is amazing how we can remain as good friends after more than 23 years! :)
Nan, thanks for inviting us to your wedding and wish you and Ben 百年好合!!!
