2012 CNY tentage sales...

All of us had to go do our duty at major supermarkets to push for CNY sales... This year, I was posted to White sands and Jurong point... These were very different experiences from last year... Last year I was stationed at AMK...

I had feet cramps... it was tough standing for 3 hours non-stop for a few days.. but after that, I felt happy that I had contributed to the CNY sales... Hope this year's sales would be better than last year!

Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Yesh! It's once again the Chinese New Year!!! It has been a rather eventful year, like experiencing terrible SAP screw-ups, saying goodbyes to old people and welcoming new people, etc. etc. etc... :) Long story for a short year... :) Well, it has been quite smooth year, with some interesting things... but I guess to pen them down here might be quite difficult, so I rather not do that...
Anyway, as usual, our family does not have the tradition of really celebrating the CNY, but in any case, we would also gather and have a good meal (altho we do that quite often)...

First of all we need to go church to do some 崇拜...

Then I brought my mummy to go collect Chicken and Duck for the CNY lunch...

During the preparation..... my bro came to help... LOL...

After dinner, I started to prepare some snacks and drinks to entertain any relatives that might pop by our house....

Time flies... Valerie is already 9 years old and Roy 5 years old... :)

Today is 初二 already... it has been a peaceful CNY, with me as the designated driver, driving my parents to grandma and 二姑 home... :)

Tomorrow I had to start work already... Yawn... no mood... I have been watching TV from Friday till today, more than 30 hours of TVs I think!!!! yawn....

Lilian's new home

My good friend, Lilian finally moved to her new flat and got her own room! She was so excited that she kept asking me to bunk in with her some days over the weekends!! HAhahaha! so cute!!!

OKOK, next time I 离家出走 sure will go find her!!!

I bought Lilian some cookies as a housewarming gift... This was not cheap wor... :) Hope it taste good!!!

catch up with my ex-staffs

It has been quite long since I got together with my ex-staffs from HSBC... This day, we finally met for dinner and had a good catch up... 3 of them had moved on to another companies and only Eunice remains in HSBC. Sigh... many things have changed... my whole team also gone, except for 2 of them...

was channel surfing and as this was the New Year period, Starhub opened up all channels for us to view for 3 day! So I was watching HBO and suddenly saw HBO Hits showing Jerry Maguire!

It was a very old show, and actually I didn't remember much of this show cos I have never watched it from start to end... Strange, but true! I have never watched the full show before!

Anyway, caught sight of Tom Cruise, and oh man! He is soooo Stunning and guapo! Totally love him!!! :) Felt like an eighteen year old again! Hahahahah! *blush*

JB trip! and NYE countdown partaeeee!!!~~

It was NYE and Brenda, Michael and I decided to go check out JB's premium outlet, and to go for Bak Kut Teh lunch and seafood dinner, before going for a private countdown party at F1 pit building!

It was a super HOT day!! in fact I suspected that the weather in JB is hotter than SG! seriously! I nearly died there!!!

Along the way, I was very enchanted by the clouds.... nice sky.... :)

Realised that I did not take picture of our Bak Kut Teh lunch!!! How come???? hmmm... Maybe all of us were too hungry bah... and the weather is too hot!

Anyway a small 插曲... After we crossed the causeway, as there were too many cars jamming on the road, Mic decided to take the risk and drove on the "lorry-only" lane... He was too greedy! There were at least 3 occasions that he can quickly cut back into the legitimate road, but he insisted to drove further... And alas!!!! Quite unluckily, we were caught by a M'sia TP!

Oh oh oh.... and we kena summon!!! The police told us to go police station to pay RM300! Wah lau! It was so expensive... So in the end, we negotiated with him and he agreed to take RM100 privately and let us go! Sigh... this is my first-hand experience of such "bribery" case! In any case, i think everyone knew about such practice. So please don't sue me for putting this on my blog. As this happened too fast, I didn't have time to video the whole bribery scene down... sigh...

Anyway, we had a good lunch and we made our way to the JB premium outlets. We were quite disappointed by this place actually. It was no big deal and there were not many "wow" shops. There were those normal brands like Nike, Adidas, Cotton On, Quiksilver, Roxy, Savaltore Ferragamo, Coach, Burberry, DKNY, Guess, etc. etc. etc...

And the worst impression was their car park system!!!

At first we were quite happy that it was charged on a "per-entry" basis, RM3 only! Cheap!!! :)

But then... after we parked and walked towards the outlets, we saw a super long queue! We thought it was some kind of a "sales"? but we got a shock when we realised that everyone had to queue up to pay for the exit carpark ticket at ONE machine before they can leave the carpark!!!!

WHAT?!?!?!?!

Since the mall has decided to charge by per-entry, they should might as well collect the RM3 at the entrance point, that is, every car that enter through the gantry need to pay RM3 upfront. Then everyone can just leave the place after shopping, do not need to queue up for at least 10-15min to pay before leaving. sigh....

Anyway, we decided to go massage first before dinner. So we found a good massage place and both me and Michael went for foot massage while Brenda chose body massage. After an hour of super relaxing massage, we went for car wash before dinner at a Zi-char stall within the food market.

Oh dear!!! Seeing all these food made me feel super hungry now!!! Craving for my 铁板豆腐!!!! :)

After a good dinner, we had to go back to SG already... It was about 8pm... And we realised that we have very little petrol left!!! We had to die die dong till we crossed the border! See? the car has left with nearly empty tank when we finally found a Shell station at Woodlands!!!  Hahahaha!!! So heng ar!!! If not, both me and Brenda had to push car liao!!! :(

We went to Bendemeer to pick up Brenda's fren, Stephanie to join us for the private party.... Steph is Brenda's fren in Japan... :) A nice young lady... 26 yo only leh! hmmm... what was I doing when I was 26??? I was out partying almost every night!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! :p

The meeting point was at SG flyer cos we need to get entry tickets from Brenda's fren, Kenny.

Anyways, we had a good party at F1 pit building... But we did not get to see the fireworks... :(

And the funny thing about this party is... The DJ only started countdown at 1am!!! WHAHAHAHAHA!!! We have already count-ed-down liao!!! Think he is following donno-which-country time!!! What a joke!!!

Anyways, after partying around 1.30am, we decided to go supper! Yeah!!! Sinful!!! We had pratas, Kambing soup, beehoon goreng and mee goreng! :)

By the time I reached home, it was about 330am already! :)
