K with Nan and Kermit

Yeah!!! It's been quite some time when the 3 of us meet for K....

Today is to "celebrate" Kermit's victory against the PIG... hahaha.... don't ask me who's the PIG lor.... Don't even wan to say his name de lor....

But Kermit is really strong and I admire her courage and ability to settle the issue really fast.... =)

Mid-Autumn Celebration in Church

It is my parents' church's Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.. And my bro and cousin would be performing 2 songs!!!

So as usual, I picked my parents to church and stayed to watch my bro and cousin's performance...





And guess what? The guest-of-honour this evening is Huang Xiuling, who is the news presenter for Channel 8.... Apparently she can sing well leh!!! =)

Scary Fish Spa!!!

I did it before at Sentosa.. So this pair of legs belonged to my friend, aunty Betsy!!! Hahahah!!!!
She was screaming and shouting when she put her legs in.. Wow lau... So paiseh leh! Even those Angmohs behind us were laughing at us!!! At least aunty Jasmine was better, she only kept on giggling... =)

We have Beck's beer at one pub near my home.... it's been such a long time since i went out to a pub.. actually don't really feel like going out de, but I fly him kite many times le, so no choice lor... hahaha...

Babysitting my niece and nephew ~~

Babysitting??

Ya lor!! don't see me like always lazy lazy and nuah nuah like dat.. I also can do a good job as babysitting nanny de wor!!! huh!!!

My sis got D&D ytd and left my niece and nephew with us for the evening...Wow!!! Everyone of us (aka Mum, Dad, bro and me) were very excited as usual...

Since the kids are still v young, they sure will be restless in no time. So we decided to bring them out to take MRT and bus!!!

Sigh... now the kids are too pampered and have a super good life that they yearned to take bus and MRT.. Cos they NEVER need to do that de lor.. They got daddy chauffeur de mah...

Sigh... 想当年，阿姨我多么希望能够有车载。。那时的我，若有车载上下时，是多么的威风耶。恨死地铁和小巴了。。。又拥挤又脏，多人的时候可是非常不舒服的。

但是现在的小孩，是多么希望能乘搭双层巴士和地铁。因为他们没这个机会呀。每天都是父母的专车接送，当然觉得无趣啦。有时我会在想，这样子算是什么？社会进步的证据吗？还是反映了中上阶层家庭的孩子对“平民百姓”生活的好奇？可能是他们对现在所拥有的一切都觉得是理所当然，没有的反而更想要尝试？

Anyway, it was drizzling abit, so we dressed them up!!! Hahah!!! Both of them looked so funny and cute!!!

We went to the MRT and both of them were soooo excited!!!!

Becos Roy wanted to sit in the train longer, we took the train to Hougang, then from Hougang, we took the train back to Kovan... ahahha!!! So funny...

We landed up at Heartland Mall and after buying Valerie's colour pencils and crayons (including a purple B-pen and lollipops), we took a bus back home...

Although the whole journey seemed short, but it took us more than 1.5hours!!!

It was really a tiring night!!! =)

My final crowns!!! ~~~

New lower teeth....

Remember my old set of teeth??? Cannot remember bah... It was quite horrible de lor... see below!!! hahaha!!!Old lower teeth...

Anyway, After an hour of painful fitting of crowns, my lower set of teeth was done!!! Hooray!!!

It was painful de lor... DAMNNNNN PAIN de!!!

But compared to my old set of teeth, maybe the pain is worth it lah... hahaha... damn vain...

Core leave ~~ once again

Today is my first day of my core leave!!! *clap clap clap

Well, for those who don't know, core leave is mandatory and every bank staff must fulfil the core leave in a year. For executives, we need to go on a 10-days consecutive leave (aka block leave) and during this period, we are not allowed any access to the office or our emails or phone.

From one point, this means that we can really take a good break and no one (even the bosses) are allowed to bother us...

But from the other point, it also means alot of stress and worries... Gone for 10 days continuously leh.... It's no joke for the other people covering your work lor...

I have been working for more than 9 years now and this is the 2nd time I am experiencing "core leave". Last year, (becos first year mah) I very excited and immediately booked a long trip to Japan.... Totally enjoying my core leave...

However, this year........ I already getting used to the working environment and the "core leave" doesn't really excite me anymore. It actually brings lots of stress to me.. I had to make sure that I handover my jobs properly. And those outstanding stuff that really need my attention, I might need to attend to them during my core leave. Thus, this year, I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!

YES! U HEAR ME...

I AM GOING TO NUAH AT HOME EVERYDAY... FOR A FULL 10 WORKING DAYS!!!

She went HK and bought for me a nice hand chain...

IT's PINKU nee!!! 可愛いんじゃない！！

Heard there are other colours as well. But knowing me, she bought for me the PINKU one which hopefully can bring me tao-hua luck!!! Heehee!!!

北京奥运2008

真是开心和兴奋!

这可是历史性的一刻啊！

曾几何时中国能成为世界众人注目的焦点，可是很不简单啊！可想而知，那可是经过多长多久多少人力物力的集合和努力而达成的吧。

既然已是奥运主办国，那可不能马虎吧。从7年前就开始筹办的中国而言，可是下了不少功夫哦。这是我们大家都可以看得到的。

真的好感动！

相信全世界的人都能感受得到，中国人的热情和执著。

奇怪了，我可不是什么运动迷。也没有什么迷恋运动名将。为什么会对这次奥运活动那么感兴趣？

哈哈！其实也没什么啦。。。

因为我超爱奥运北京福娃的！

虽然肤浅了点，但是北京福娃真的非常可爱，非常有意义！五只福娃都有特别的名字。

My interim crowns...

It was a truly scary experience.... From 10am till 12.30pm, my mouth was always in "open-mode" lor... It is really tiring de leh!!! And also throughout the whole procedure, I was very nervous and scared. My lower teeth area was numbed but I can still feel the drilling, carvings, shavings, etc... So damn scareyyy de leh!!

Anyway, finally the ordeal is over for now... But this is just the interim. The crowns are just "plastics" and this is temporary. I still need to go back to do the real crowns on 21 Aug...

Sigh, and I heard that time might be painful still... =(

Kermit gave me this Easter Rabbit spoon last year... It was so cute!!! But as usual, I was so clumsy that I dropped it and broke this rabbit's "hand" earlier this year...

Sigh.... It was actually holding on to something, I cannot remember le... So poor thing..

Dental crowns ~~ Not yet lah... But soon le...

Anyway, this is just my upper set of teeth, which are quite nice and straight.... But..

Actually, my lower set of teeth is really quite bad, with gaps... =(

Until 4 years ago when the dentist suggested that I shld do crowns on the lower set of teeth that made me wonder whether I shld really consider doing that... My lower set of teeth are getting weaker and weaker, and now the bones have showed signs of softening and the teeth were starting to bend sideways... So no choice, I had to do the crowns...

See? That is my old set of teeth, showing the lower set.... See those gaps? Well, anyway, this might be the last time that I would be seeing them!

Becos........ I am going to do crowns tomorrow!!!

Batam rendezvous w my BEST frens!!!

9th of August is our Singapore's National Day and with pride and joy, me and my frens, kermit and Nan decided to go Batam to "celebrate" our nation's birthday!!! Hahahaha!!!

Apparently we are not the only ones who thought of leaving town to celebrate National Day de lor... So, who says we need to be in Singapore to celebrate Singapore's birthday???? =)

Well, anyway, today I was actually very tired... And I thought of nuahing in bed for slightly longer... But Nan said that we cannot be late... so no choice lor, we then agreed to meet at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 11am...

As usual, Kermit was late lor... hahahah... What's new??? =p

Anyway, we managed to board the ferry and on our way to the fairy land!!!

While in the ferry, Kermit was sooo busy that she didn't know that I was camera-ing her!!! Well, she might be the next SUPER-STAR wor!!! *wink

The ferry trip was ok and in about 45min, we reached Batam! And was chauffeured to the resort... I was tired so Nan and Kermit went to check-in while i sat on the sofa and day-dream...

So funny! There was a Merlion at the Lobby too!!! Did we "lend" our Merlion to Batam???

Anyway, we have done our check-in and I was surprised that we need the buggy to reach our villa... Hmmm.. Why can't we walk leh? Is it that far meh???

The buggy stopped and I was really SURPRISED!!!

Our Villa was really an awesome place!!! I really didn't expect this at all! I kept thinking that we will be staying at the normal kind of resort... Didn't know this is THE VILLA!!! It was ssoooooo NICE!!! I really didn't know how to describe... REALY don't know how to pen it down... Let the photo do the talking!!!

This is a ONE-Bedroom Villa, include a living room with an attached kitchen and of course one bedroom with a nice bed....

Then we moved on to The Bedroom...

See our "bedroom" model??? Maybe Springcoil or Seahorse can consider using her to advertise their mattress??? Hahahah!!!

There's a shipping boat parked just outside our balcony... And there are some fishermen around there...
Our villa was right at the beach, right on top of the sea... And from our balcony, we are soooo close to the sea... We can see the beach and we can see the nice scenery, right at the balcony... It was really breathtaking....





After we settled down, we got the buggy to bring us back to the resort for the buffet lunch... Well, we were quite late by then, thus the food was nearly wiped up... But nevertheless, it was still quite good... Maybe we were hungry bah!! Hahah!

After lunch, we went to book for our spa... The Spa was quite fully booked!!! We only left with either 7pm slot or 2.30pm slot... So, after some discussion, Nan and Kermit decided to do the 2.30pm slot... So, since I can't do spa with them, I left them at the Spa and went back to the Villa to enjoy the whole place all by myself!!! I hardly can wait to get back to the nice villa!!! I just can't get enough!!!

By then, it was about 2.30pm and there was dark clouds forming in the sky... The whole atmosphere was sooo good! The villa was private and quiet and the sky was greyish and the air held some scent of the sea, with the splashing of waves heard at a distance...

I took a nice hot bath and made myself a cup of coffee before sitting at the balcony, looking at the fishermen doing their work while the tourists played some seasports like Bananaboat and jetskiing....

Well.... And finally, it RAINED....

It was such a nice feeling, hearing the rain drops falling on the rooftop and the raining hitting the windows... I fell asleep.... And drifted away....

After 2hours, I woke up and realised that the rain had stopped... And the sky was sooooo pretty!!! See that aurora?!!!



And at about 6plus, Nan and Kermit came back from their spa.... Hahahah!!! It was soo funny to hear them complain abt the spa treatment! Kermit got some scratched while Nan was frustrated of being deprived of her bath! Hahah... Anyway, cannot hiam lah.... =)

Then, we sat at the balcony and chit chat while enjoying rose tea brought by Nan... It was really a very relaxing evening....


We took the above photos while waiting for our "CHARLES" before going off for dinner... We had a 7-course dinner at the "Kelong Seafood Restaurant" (Kermit kept thinking that it was the "KALLANG Seafood restaurant"! Hahah!)

Well, after that I did not take any photos liao... I was totally so relaxed by then....

I still thought that the gals would want to have a "Face Mask" party, so I brought all my facemasks... Sigh..... Expected lah, after a beer each, Kermit and Nan was soooo tired that both of them fell asleep slightly before midnight le.... So, it is ok! I am very DISCIPLINED de lor!!! I still insisted on doing my double face masks!!!! =)

As usual, we called for "Charles" and went back to the resort for breakfast... The breakfast was superly good!!! Much better than lunch though....

As usual lah, I was soooo greedy that I focused on eating eating and eating, so no photos... paiseh yah!! =p

Anyway, after breakfast, we walked to take a look at the pool and the beach before chancing upon a nice hideaway! It was a secluded hut-lookalike place meant for "outdoor massage". But there was no customers at that time. So we decided to take our beers and to drink it at this nice place....

So funny.... Kermit was a bit floaty after her beer.... And she was really RED lor!!! Hahahah!!!


We saw a jacuzzi pool just below the massage hut and Nan decided to have a dip!! So, me and Kermit took photos of her from the hut...

Nice view from the hut lah... Anyway, we nuah at that place for abt 2 hours before dragging ourselves to pack our bags for checkout....

It was really a nice trip and holiday.... Really looking forward to having such a weekend again!!!
