a relax sat in Melb city... nice improvised comedy act!

It was a bright warm saturday afternoon, by the time i woke up... HAHHA!!

Hey, I had a whole day tour on Friday and I havent slept a wink on Thursday night!!! :P Of cos I had to catch up on my sleep!

I cannot rem what time I woke up, might be around 2 or 3pm I think... Anyways, I do not have any plans for the day, so I just walk out of the hotel and thought of hanging ard town again...

Saw a funny van at the front porch of my hotel...

The streets are full of maple leaves... signifying the end of Autumn, i think... The weather was really getting colder though...

A cool place! Bought a beer and started my reading... very relaxing!!!

As usual, saw the comedy minglers around town... Very cute!!

It was near 5pm, and I ended up at Fed sq, waiting for some comedy shows to begin.. And sure enough, there was a British guy, who suddenly showed up in the middle of the sq, and started gathering people to sit down on the stairs. Of cos I sat down as well!

He was a standup comedian from England, and he specialized in "improvised comedy"... This was so COOL! He will use the streets as his backdrop, and those passers-by as his "actors". He will made comments on people that passed by and made up conversations for those people, it was damn funny!!!

After the comedy show, I started to walk back to hotel... stopping by Gloria Jeans to have my cookie spin! I totally hooked onto this drink! Had it on my 2nd day, before the free drinks session at Wharf Hotel...

After my quick snacks, I walked back to hotel to have my fav cup noodles!! LOL! Am craving for noodles! What a Cheena I am!!!! :)

Anyways, I was too tired to move, so I watched tv... and dozed off a bit before I woke up and realised that it was already 9pm and I should be on my way to another comedy show! But... I was really too lazy and too late to buy tickets... So... I decided to call my fren to check if they are out drinking...

And bingo! They are!

So I met one of them and he brought me to try some good coffee! Cool!!!

After that, it was about near midnight and shops are closed... He didn't want to risk drink driving, so we decide not to go pub but perhaps to go Casino to hang out...

We had a good time chilling out at the Casino and hang out till around 3am before I made my way back to hotel.

I need to pack my stuffs by tonight cos am checking out tomorrow 10am! Time flies!!!

2nd perfect day in Melb... Good Fri eve!

It was my 2nd day in Melb, and since I had a real long 1st day, I treated myself to a long sleep.... I had to force myself to wake up around 3.30pm simply cos I had to meet a fren for a drink at 530pm!

There's gonna be free drink at a pub at Wharf hotel, a nice hotel along the river... super nice! but... who can leave office that early to have drinks?! I doubted that there will be many people... But I was very wrong!!! LOL!

The place was packed (I forgot to take photos though... It was gettng too cold cos it was near the river!)... Anyway, I had a good time with my fren and met his gay fren as well! =)

Anyways, my fren, Chris knew that I like comedy shows, thus he found a pub where there's free comedy show, which they termed it a "after-show" - comedians come to the pub for a wind-down and at the same time just gave a few minutes show for free... =)

While we were making our way to the pub, we past by some volunteers giving out free waffles! I felt so great! It was so cold and it felt good to have hot waffles! Chris told me that they usually will give out free food during eve of public hols or so... Kind souls!




We reached the pub - The comedians were so-so actually... But it was a good night!

After the show, I made my way to meet other frens at a Asian Pub, which to my surprise, a totally KOREAN place!!! It was a Korean KTV (like our Partyworld) with rooms to sing Korean songs... It was a private party that night, but my fren know the waitress there, so he can be there...

It was a great night, met another 2 more new frens and we partied till 3am! After that, we went for a spin ride out of town... And it was awesome! By the time we realised it, it was 5am! We went to a 24hrs waffles place to have early breakfast and by the time I reached my hotel, it was around 645am... and it was GOOD FRIDAY!!! =)

I booked a day tour on Good Friday and I need to be at the gathering place 745am... LOL...

So, I didn't even hav time to bath, and I jus changed a new top and off i go! Lucky that it was cold cold day, so I didn't perspire alot... =)

I had a perfect holiday in Melb! :)

Super relaxing, chilling and refreshing! Met some new friends and had a real good time! And coincidentally, it was comedy festival in Melb and there were many free comedy shows around! Cool!!!


Reached Melb early in the morning. Thus I had to hang around town as I can only check in after 3 pm.... Good, cos the weather was OK (drizzle a little, but still bearable) and I need a walk after a 7 hours flight....

After a good coffee, I had a good walk around town area and ended up at the landmark Fed Sq and Flinders ST station... After that I took the free circle tram line to Docklands (very near my hotel) to have a late lunch...

Docklands was a nice place! But perhaps it was a Wed afternoon, thus not many people around. And it was still drizzling...

This place is still under development... Saw quite a lot of constructions around here.... Machiam like our Sentosa Cove style high-end living bah... Nice and chilly place though!

I was feeling quite wet and cold by then (think it was around 2pm) and I saw a nice Fish Bar... Time for a Fish & Chips!!!

The portion was HUGEEEE!!! As usual, I wasted more than 60% of the food... didn't expect it to be sooooooo big!!! :(

After some good hot fish&chips, I made my way back to hotel, walking all the way....

Miami hotel was like a hostel, a no-frill hotel... I love it cos it is simple and clean... I got a KING size room! =)

See my big bed? In the end of course as I only slept on about 30% of the bed (I don't toss and turn in bed), the other side of the bed became my "wardrobe" - I put all my clothes, bags and maps on that side of bed... easy reach! haha...

Well, I had a meet-up dinner arranged for me by one of my Aussie friend and I had to meet them around 630pm...

I was sooo tired by the time I checked into the hotel (around 4pm by then), and I immediately dozed off! Had to forced myself out of bed around 530pm to prepare for the dinner. For a sec, I was comtemplating to miss the meetup.. But of cos, I can't! They purposely arranged the meeting for ME! Just for ME! Of cos I had to go... So after pulling myself out of bed, I changed and (damn, its still raining!) checked the map on where's the pub...

Luckily for me, the pub was just opposite my hotel, about 10min's walk! GREAT!!!

Made a call to my fren and I headed out in the rain... It was Wed night and the pub served "Roadkill" menu! Very interesting concept!

We ordered some appetisers - consists of Kangaroo, Rabbit, wombat, etc....

EEWWWW!!! I did tried some Kangaroo and Rabbit.... OMG!!!! Not gonna eat those again!!!

Anyway, I had a great night, met some new frens and went to some awesome pubs! It was nearly 4am when I reached back to hotel.. Thanks to a new fren who sent me back in his new Porsche... =) Porsche seems quite cheap there I think... Of cos much cheaper than cars in SG lor... sigh... That's my first day in Melb!!!
