感恩

the year's gonna over soon...

Looking back at this year... alot of things have happened... and was surprised that i am still the same... perhaps feelings wise, am different, but appearance and mentality, perhaps quite the same.

m very lucky and glad that i had alot of 贵人in my life... eg, when i was feeling rather stressed and sian in the bank, i got the chance to leave and joined another financial institution, which pays me so much more! workload is not as much as well.... but then when my colleague had to take MC and i had to take over her duty, and also i was feeling quite down due to my personal life, i was given the chance to jump to another company at that very moment when i was about to quit without a job.

and i was very lucky that my workload in the current company was not as heavy as in the bank, and that when i was about to throw in lots of money to get a car (cos my legs really cannot tahan anymore manual driving), my colleague resigned and my boss managed to get the approval to transfer the company car to me! and it is AUTO car!!! actually many people in the company were also fighting for the company car, but my boss was very nice to me.

i was really blessed with all the good things and good people.

altho there were times where things were not going well, times when i was feeling stressed and times when i was feeling lonely, i will start to think about those good things that happened to me. like i have good family, good boss, good job, good country to live in... and of cos some good frens.

i have given in to my life. i will not think or yearn for anything unreachable. i will (try) not feel sad that i might not succeed. 算是任命了吧... oh wells... its a good thing! =)

my first encounter... with Accupuncture!

Actually it was not my first time to chinese clinic.. I have been to see this doc since 6 yrs ago... but its only to do some shoulder massage cos i really got a bad shoulder... sigh... guess i always carry my heavy bag on my left shoulder, thats why my left shoulder was really stiff!

Dr Mak did ask me to try accupuncture to cure my stiff shoulder, but i was scared at that time.. hey! i was only 27 yo leh... of cos scared lah....



sigh...



but as age catches on... i really cannot just let my shoulder "died" right? it was sooo stiff that i sometimes tot it might just rot!!!!

So i finally 鼓起勇气 and went back to Dr Mak and i initiated the accupuncture!


i was feeling very nervous while am waiting in the room... so i started to take photos to calm myself (or rather, to distract myself!)

saw those scary needles and machine!

hmmm... why Dr Mak took sooo long???? Sigh... she is quite popular de lor... her schedule was FULLY PACKED!!!

Finally its my turn!!!!

Well... i was very nervous... first of all, she will do the "baguan", which is to use a "cup-shaped" glass, and to light a fire to suck out the air and then placed them on my shoulder to "suck the damness" and to make it "blue-black"... According to her, it is to purged out those bad blood clot lor...

then after that, she will poke the needles onto those "blue-black" places... ok lah... she is quite good lah... she poked the needles into my shoulder, but not poking it in"vertically".. she poked it "slantly"... as she was telling me, such method would not hurt that much...

but certain places that she poked HURT lor!!! like my ear, neck and.... FOREHEAD!!!

*I got a headache that day, so she poked 2 needles on my forehead! SCARY!!*

After poking the needles, she clipped the needles with this machine, so that the electric current will go through the needles, and into my muscles to treat the stiffness...

I have made 3 trips there already... and according to her, i was recovering v well... jus need to continue!!!

Mummy's BD! Yay!

it's my mummy's bd tomorrow and she is gonna be... 61~!~~

WOOHOO!!!~~

I always wonder what will I be when I hit 61... Will I be sick? Sian? Depressed? sigh... oh dear... it's all awful thoughts!!! But anyway... my sis came to celebrate her bd and of cos mummy was very happy!!~~

totally FREAKED-out!!!

Yupppp!! was totally in shock when i saw this huge GREENIE thingie clunging for its life at the back of my car wheels...

it was like... 9am and i was in a super big rush (i was late, as usual) and just as I wanted to open the backseat door (to put my laptop and big bag), i was totally taken aback by this GREEN fellow!
And oh my!

It was really HUGE!!! Wonder if this would be those 千年老螳螂... it was so well-fed that its body was fat and juicy (EEEEEEEEEEEEKSSSS!)...

I was so scared that I was stoned for a while... yah, literally "stoned"... donno wat to do... and oh well, of cos I need to take photo!

Oh man, its not like any other day that you will find yourself staring at a FAT OLD JUICY praying mantis at the HDB carpark lor....

But I was soooo scared to walk too near... so... the blurred picture lah... but u get the idea... this is one real BIG FATASS praying mantis!

I was thinking that since I have no guts to chase it off, i should be able to "shake it off" when I hit the highway at 120KM/H bah..... hahahaha....

While am on the road, I can't stop beowing the green fellow from my side mirror... and man! it was still clinging on tightly!

When I was worrying that perhaps it might survive the whole trip to TUAS that after I exit the CTE tunnel, it was gone finally!!!

*phew*

I was thinking that perhaps this greenie was actually hitching a ride from me to go town!!! HAHAHAHAH!!!! =)

catch up w betsy n jas

was waiting for jas to go eat that delicious ramen at gallery hotel... and so me and betsy went for a drink at Malted Milk... donno when there's this open-aired pub w live band... but oh wells... there's really no where else to go lor...

and after our dinner, we went to explore clarke quay's "hot" places! We heard about shanghai dolly, lunar.... but haven't really been there...

And oh boy.... Shanghai dolly was packed! but then hor.. that place feels like those sleazy clubs in JB or malaysia! perhaps cos the singers on stage was singing cantonese songs... so canto de lor!!!

And so three of us (totally out of place) went out just after like 10mins! And we proceeded to Lunar....

The band there was good! the singers were good too!! was pleasantly surprised! would definitely want to go there again though! =)

Marina Bay Sands - Day time

thesis topic = panic mode

am really panicky now... i still haven't thought about what to write for my thesis topic...

it seems like everyone has started and mostly with a group.... should i also find a group to do? or should i stick to doing it myself?

sigh...

have been staring blankly into the laptop for the whole fucking day! it is true lor... i didn't go anywhere today except to stare and stare into the laptop!

WTF!

Marina Bay Sands - night time

was bored ytd night and decided to go out to chill... went marina barrage for a walk (my first time leh!!!) and it was already 2am liao...

saw that MBS was really pretty lor! I didn't realise that the top part was actually a "cruise" ship! only knew about it from a travel show from Taiwan when they intro this unique building of Singapore... so funny... am from Singapore and i don even know abt this until i saw this travel show for Taiwanese!!!

Ahnyohaseyooooooo!

just came back from Korea trip... my virgin trip to korea!!! kamsa hamida!

hahaha... realised that korean dramas did help me alot for this trip! cos i was too lazy to check out the places to go, thus i only rem a few places that was mentioned in dramas, like Myeong-dong, Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Itaewon, etc...

Anyways, this was biz trip lah... so i really didn't expect any much shopping though... As this was a last-min trip, the office didn't manage to book Marriott hotel in town, and thus we landed up in a hotel that was very FAR!

A nice hotel though... W Hotel in Seoul, by starwood..

I was totally amazed by the hotel room! It was HUGE and I have a private BIG jacuzzi tub inside the room!! WOO HOOO!!!!

Super BIG tub too!!! Enough for threesome!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

And I loved the shower room! They have the overhead shower head, as well as these 4 body showerheads! COOL!!

And cute toiletries as well!

The hotel faces the river and the morning sunrise scene was perfect!!

Everything was perfect in the room... except....

THERE IS NO TOOTHPASTE!!!!

This is the first time that i encountered a hotel that had no toothpaste!!! I had to buy from mini bar lor... and it cost 10,000KRW! which is equivalent to about S$11 lor!

Sigh... oh wells...

Anyways, we only have 3 nights here... the next morning, i was sooo tired that i skipped breakfast and had to rush for lunch too! The lunch in the hotel was great... we had a quick lunch and rushed to our Korea office...




We did some meetings and went for market visits before going to a traditional korean BBQ place to have dinner with the Korea, Taiwan and HK colleagues.





As usual, I really hated Korean food de lor... so i reckon that i will not be satisfied with the dinner (which is true!! cos all is beef lor!!)... lucky I got go convenience store to buy chips and cup noodles!!! Can last me for the night!!!

In the end, the potato chips not enough! i raided the minibar for some cookies!!! =p

For the last day, after our meeting in office, we went to Myeong-dong for shopping spree! but of cos, am not that keen on shopping lah... not my kind of thing... but oh well, i must still go walk walk lah... so i followed my colleague lor... she was soooo keen to buy lots of beauty products and she spent alot of time at each shop! bought alot of hand creams, cosmetics, etc....

I went into a jeans shop and the jeans was sooo nice! but too bad, the smallest size (25") was still too big for me... sad... their skinny jeans was soooo nice!!! so in the end, i bought only a shirt (See my last photo), where my mummie said i look like aunty selling things!!!! duh!! This was the latest trend leh!!! 真不识货！哈哈！

After a tiring day of walking, we had some good dinner... not my kind of food though... but oh wells... its ok...

Actually there's nothing to choose lor... a big restaurant like tat only got such small selection!!!

Anyways, I ordered spicy tofu set meal.... OK only lah... not my type of food lah....

Its the last night and after dinner, i went to look for convenience store to buy chips for my last night in the hotel room... can relaz inside the jacuzzi, with coffee and chips! perfecto!!!

Went to the convenience store near a petrol kiosk... and saw that the petrol station was very unique!!! The pumps were hanging on the top of the ceiling! such design can save space lor... !

My last parting shot inside the room before check out the next morning... and it was only 615am!! was amazed that i can actually wake up lor... i actually skipped all the 3 days breakfast lor!!! sigh....
