Batam getaway~~ =)

Yupz! It's my 3rd trip out of SG within a month!!! hahaha.... (went HK, then Sentosa, then now... )

Took a short weekend getaway with my 2 lovelies... meng and niz... we used to work together in my previous company... and it was quite some time since we hanged out together "out of SG"... =)

So as usual.. meng suggested BATAM! (that's her "hometown" cos she goes there almost quite frequently de lor!)... ok lah... it is cheap to go and we don't even need to change money! things there were charged in either Rupiah or SGD lor... very convenient!!! =)

As usual... I travelled with mainly my facial products...


niz was the "medium" traveller... carrying a small backpack...

And...

Wat amazed me was...

Look at Meng's "luggage"!!!!

A small... small... handbag!!!!

What can she carry with such a small bag????

Be surprise!!! She had almost everything inside! Toiletry, clothes, underwear... and even able to squeeze in a book!!!! WAU LAU!!! Truly a seasoned Batam-traveller!!!!

Taking the ferry there... VERY early in the morning, 9.50am ferry! was surprised tat I managed to make it on time! lol....

We were supposed to catch the 9.20am ferry, so we booked the 10am (batam time) spa... but unfortunately, the 9.20am ferry was full, so we can only board the 950am ferry... thus, we are LATE for our spa! late for an hour!

But ok lah... the spa allowed us to reach there an hour late... so we hopped onto a cab once we reached the hotel and off we go to the spa!!!

It was a good spa experience though... and it was CHEAP! The spa consists of massage, sauna, body scrub, bubble bath and the final one was to "treat the... " erm... vagina? donno how to describe, but we were wrapped with a sarong, and asked to sit (with our bum naked) on a small stool... and it has a hole in the middle. then the therapist will use "something" to burn "something" underneath the stool, to sort of "air" or "smoked" our private part.. it is supposed to treat woman's private area... quite an experience!! (and felt a bit hot at that part too!) =)

Anyways, we finished the spa about 3hours later, and we made our way to Nagoya for late lunch... and of cos to buy some snacks...

we tot we might want to watch the world cup... 230am would be the match "England vs US"....

After nuahing in the room (i took a quick 1.5hr nap!), we decided to go swim a bit and then head to dinner at the chinese restaurant, Dragon Inn....

Wah... they even engaged 2 chinese chefs from Shanghai to do the xiao-long-bao and la-mian! hahahha.... but however, the restaurant was quite empty as usual lah... =) expensive i think...

after a satisfying dinner, we went back to room to nuah again! and watch tv...

then we slept quite early! I tried to wake up to catch the England match... but later, I tot that i wasn't even a football fan mah... why shld i torture myself to watch soccer alone? lol..

The next day, once again... it's our "nuahing" time.... playing monopoly deal and tv again....

the hotel was beaming with people! the staff kept on calling us to remind us to check out... i think they are fully booked, so they cannot afford to give us late check out!

Anyway, when we reached the ferry terminal and bought our boarding passes, we saw an advertisement that say that we can get FREE kaya toast by presenting our boarding pass...

hmmmm....

no T&Cs... just mentioned that we must "dine-in"....

Sure or not... ??? no need us to buy any food meh??? no min spending???

So we cheapo go to ask...

And True enough, the toast is FREE!!! Cos i think the boss expected ppl to buy coffee or tea de mah... so the promo is really to give out FREE kaya toast!

LOL... so cheapo 3 of us just want the free toast and... NO DRINKS... WAHAHAHAH!!!! they sure lugi on us!!

but our dear meng pity them and decided to buy a teh o... cost her $2~~~ good gal!!!

It was a good nuahing trip... we basically do NOTHING and SLEEP EARLY!!! =)
