Planning for Europe trip!

Actually I wanted to go Las Vegas... But then... I guess I should go next year during spring time, much better.

Anyway, my friend Kit is planning to go Barcelona sometime late of the year, perhaps Sep or Oct. So I thought I might as well tag along with her, cos I will finish my thesis in Aug, and I should give myself a good treat!!!

But then... I have no idea about Europe at all! I only know about Italy cos I wanted to go Italy in 2007, which didn't happen... =(

Anyways, if I fly BA, the route would be SG-LONDON-SPAIN. So I think I shld go explore London, then Spain (Barcelona and maybe Madrid, depending on the timing), and then see if I could take the Eurail to France. And (this is a stretch, i know) if possible, maybe... perhaps I can take the train to ITALY! am really not sure... am really a "Europe-IDIOT!"

I borrowed that "USA" book as well, in case I changed my mind to go Las Vegas instead...

Met up with my JC schoolmates for a late afternoon dim sum at Wah Lok. Didn't know this was actually a meetup for the "Feb" babies... which means that I am officially another yr older...

34 liao... thats why everyone in the photo was making "34"... lol...

Oh wells... sometimes i think back on my younger days, especially schooling days (cannot rem much, but just a few bits and pieces on thoughts and feelings)... I was always an emo kid... always very dramatic and will form "storyline" and "scripts" in my own world...

In my own world, it was as though I had lived a few different "lives" already! Every person I met, I am able to form a storyline with them, and my "virtual" life with these people can go as far as when we are 50 years old! LOL...

Anyways, when I was younger, perhaps about 20 years ago, I didn't think that I will be what I am now... I always think that I will be married with kids and family when I reach 25. hahaha... guess life changes... =)

And when am 25, I thought I would get married and had kids before 30... hahaha... and guess what? life changes, yah? =)

And when I passed 30, I told myself not to even dream of getting married and definitely NO kids! but then... sometimes I still have some hope that I might meet the correct guy and has kids... so guess what?? i think life will change, aye? =))

my kind of Valentine's Day

14 Feb... once again... another single's Valentine's Day, which am totally enjoying it! =)

Was in no mood to work, and I decided to go Kit's house to chill with her after work.

Was enjoying myself at her place, watching TV and talking... =)

And around 8pm, we decided to go out chill..And we landed up at Harry's Railmall.

A nice evening... Really have no idea what else to describe it... I realised I have been getting more and more forgetful, and have been rather "stingy" with my words. I guess am more of a "talking" person, than a "penning my thoughts" person. =)

补运... again...

Once again, me and Gine went to the same temple 普照禅寺 to go 补运... We did it last year, our first time.. (See post "补运2010")... and apparently, we had quite a OK 2010...

Thus, this year, since we know that the rabbit year was not a good year for the snakes, we decided to go again... And very funny, we missed the official 补运date (which should be on the CNY eve)... But luckily, this temple had fixed another day (which is 初八) to do the 补运 ceremony.

So me, Gine and Gine's fren (cannot rem his name though... =p) went...

And this time round, we have to 拜虎爷... Seemed like this year was really bad for us!!! =)

Oh wells, this year really didn't start off good for me... I got really sick on CNY and I had quite an encounter with someone I just knew... and of cos the ending wasn't good,but I sort of expected. But then, I believed that all things happened for a reason, and that it is for my own good... =)

Lion dance! at my desk... it's another year...

It was exactly the same lion dance sequence that happened exactly a year ago. but at different office... See this post "CNY 2011"

And my feeling back then and now? quite not the same... Mainly becos I didn't like my previous company that much... This current company was so much better...

Well.. Anyways, I learned that it is good luck for the lions to come to our desk to "bless" us... And we should prepare oranges and angbao! And in return, I got a "blessed scroll"...

My desk was usually rather messy, but I purposely tidied up just for the Lions lor! =)

HUAT AHHHHH!!!

OMG! Am such a "round-face" last time!!! why didn't I notice it???

i kept hearing people telling me that I had slimmed down and my face is slimmer now... But i really don't think so... perhaps i have been looking at myself every single min so I don notice the differences bah...


Last night while I was feeling drowsy (after taking med), and thought of just surfing the net before sleep, I suddenly thought of ... "hmmm... why not let me search for my past photos and see if I really slim down?"....

it's 大年初一.. and i am SICK! =((

been feeling sore throaty for the past few days but still bearable.

However, ytd was quite bad and I felt feverish. I suspected I got the fever after the body checkup, after that nurse poked me w the needle to draw blood! still painful leh...

anyways, i had been eating panadols since ytd and just now.

hope i can quickly get well. I still have tons of assignment and my thesis to work on. Very tiring.

And worse still, Starhub is giving us FREE channels to watch! And I have been glued to the TV since morning!!! Very bad...

Guess i need to catch some sleep now...

long time JC frens & Qianjie's wedding 2011

Yup, we have been friends since JC (some of them since DHS days!) and now, all of them are married and have kids.

Karen is expecting her first baby! To think that Karen, who used to be the most 粗鲁gal in our JC class is now the happy wife and now expecting her first daughter... hahaha... :)

Anyway, I forgot to post on Qianjie's wedding on 1 Jan 2011..

The Wedding is at Sentosa's Amara resorts... :) She wants me to be her receptionist together with Yin Yin cos both of us were not married so it is more convenient that way.. The rest of the gals are all either running around with their kids or pregnant...

Guess Yinyin and me are the 2 single ladies in the house right now! :)

rainy CNY... and crowded Bugis Village...

Sigh... it has been raining on-off for the past few days... and recently, it has been drizzling and pouring....

Dated Kermit for shopping trip and dinner yesterday... and we decided to go check out Bugis Village. Heard its really cool with lots of small shops selling interesting stuff.

It was drizzling as usual...and when i was nearing Bugis, i got a shock!

Was surprised to see such a big Crowd!!! See?! The whole passenger crossing was JAMMED pack with ppl with umbrellas! They barely can move! the Green-man was blinking away while all of people started to push forward to cross the road. But as it was really JAMMED crowded and STUCK at the neck of the pedestrian crossing, the crowd hardly can move an inch. So both ways were sort of STUCK. poor them...

Anyway, i finally got a parking lot (after circling for mins!) and met Kermit for the shopping spree...

Before we started proper shopping (we browse around aimlessly at first), we decided to go had dinner! YUMMIE!

Disappointed though.. we went to the Japanese Street that used to be quite famous... but it was rather deserted that night... and my katsu don was terrible!!! the meat was... so FATTY and HARD!! was very disappointed... sigh... but good thing is, lucky we ordered umeshu (w soda), at least this was decent (altho too much soda!)...

Anyway, it was a good night out.. and i came home with 2 pairs of shorts and 2 dresses! =)

CNY in less than 2 weeks time!

woowoo! Time flies!! (such a cliche opening again!)

no CNY mood at all though... perhaps i shld take a walk along Chinatown??? and got crushed by human sea??? hahaha... am thinking hard about going... shld i go? or not?

and confirmed i cannot drive there.

have no idea what happen to drivers nowadays... there are so many accidents recently, especially after XMAS period. Every single day, there are massive jams on expressways, no matter whether its AYE, PIE or CTE. Wat ever "E", there's bound to be JAM!

i was meeting kermit for dinner one night, and i left office around 635pm, and guess wat? I was jam trapped along PIE for 1.5 hrs!!! And I reached Tampines ard 8pm! sigh... my leg kena crammed liao lor.. pain pain.. machiam like run 2.4KM like dat!

yawnz... every day i don feel like driving to work cos of the jam.. Jam aside, there are reckless drivers around.. Jam already still not enough, still wanna lang-ga pple and caused more jams!?!?! wat idiotic bastards (confirmed male drivers are the ones who CAUSED accidents)....

hahahaha.... on a lighter tone, its CNY once again, and that means my birthday is coming!! TADAH! am gonna go BKK on 26-28 Feb! YOOHOO!!! HAPPY!!! =)

NYE with my dear Lilian!

It was NYE!

And since I had half day, I decided to meet Lilian for lunch! Poor gal, she had to work till 3pm...

But anyway, I also stayed in the office till 2pm plus lor.. and the traffic was quite bad and it was drizzling... so i reached her place ard 3.30pm i think....

Was very happy to see her and chill with her... I was famished! So we went Downtown East to have a quick bite... =)

11 Jan 2011... wat a "auspicious" day! 11.1.11

was innocently driving to work this morning under some mid-heavy rain that suddenly i got a shock!

BIG BANGGGG!!! And i screamed immediately! it was so loud! Was shocked cos when I slowed down to stop at the traffic jam, I saw via my rear mirror that the mazda car behind me stopped as well. So I didn't expect the BANG!

At that moment, I was stoned... luckily I instinctively jammed my brake so that luckily I didn't hit the car in front of me. I guess that car driver in front of me must be breathing "WAH SEH! Heng ar!!" and drove off....

sigh...

it was raining leh! i had to quickly search for my umbrella and got out into the rain! sigh.. and i saw 2 guys talking it out... HEY! WTF did u guys do to me!!!?? i am just a 小女人 leh! I really donno how to settle such stuff de lor!!!

And anyway, cut the story short... Another surprise for me! Another guy suddenly appeared from NOWHERE and told us what to do... hmmm... was he in the same car as the "accidenter" (the last car tat caused the accident.. and the JAM along PIE!!!)??

then i realised that this guy.... he is frm a car workshop company!!

WAU LAU EH!!! His job scope include "standby-ing" along PIE or AYE during rainy days to see if any one need help during accidents?!?!?!?!

He appeared almost like 5 min after our crash!!! WAU! So efficient!!! And he is quite a salesman too.. Kept persuading us to send our car IMMEDIATELY to HIS workshop and he can settle every paperwork for us! WAU ZAN!!!

But too bad... mine is company car lah... pai seh.. he still called me to ask if i still need his service.. but i kindly rejected him cos... i got no choice mah... anyway, heard the 2nd car went to his workshop... ok lah... at least he got a business deal... if not quite wasted for him to stand in the rain with us... hehehhaaa...

anyway... my car is still not repaired yet... need to wait for my company authorised workshop to settle with the other party's insurance company.

My car got a dent at the back... at first i tot the damage is ok.. but after close look, it is quite bad... i had difficulty closing my boot cos of the dent and the tail lights were crooked!

sigh... =(
