Okay finally I'm back online... a long long story... but oh well..

Wonder how it ended up like this... Used to be online and blogging often, however ever since I get more and more impatient about the long uploading buffer and lazier about sitting in front of the laptop, I stopped using my own laptop. This is bad... :( 

Well, guess where I am now? Yeah, I have relocated to Shanghai and this made getting online lagi harder.

Anyway, fast forward, the reason I am online now is to manage my photos/videos on my phone. Cos... My phone capacity is FULL!! I was left with no other choice but to open my own laptop and transfer my photos/videos, mainly cos I am really 不舍得 those photos. Ngl, I didnt really look at those photos but still, I dowanna lose them either. So, I took leave (excuses lah) and stayed home for 2 days to settle the photos.. and still unable to finish cos too many videos/photos! 

Well, wait for me... I will backtrack and updates what happened for the past 4 years since 2021! Mata ne!!!

No need any reason to drink :p

Yeah... Impromptu dinner/drinks with BFFs!

And... It's a WRAP! My last day...

 Yes... After 18 months, I am moving on. :)

I know I will remember this period forever, in my memories.. Cos having joined at the most "weird" period (covid time) and being able to persevere through hard times, long hours, multiple uncertainties etc, I am rather proud of myself actually. I didn't know I could come so far. 

Covid lockdown and sudden wfh arrangement had my life tumbled upside down. I was so not used to being so alone at home. Especially being thrown into a new role with no friends or comrades in the company, I felt so alone. However, I am very glad to have good friends around me, encouraging me and I could move on fast. 

I basically took around 6 months to stabilize my life during Covid and I am glad for this experience to make me stronger.

I am also blessed to be able to land myself a better job with better pay and wlb! 

Anyway, this journey has ended and new one has begun! I am definitely a better person now, having been through the hardest period of my life:)

Oh I was given a bottle of Club as a prize for some online contest that I participated. Hahaha!

Impromptu HH drinks!

Well, I am near my last day at work and feeling a bit nervous.. I have resigned and served my 3 months of notice. And time passed so fast that tomorrow will be my last day.. Wow... Unbelievable! 

Anyway, Cheers to me for a new start! 

Knots Cafe - Tea with BFF

Getting close to my last day and feeling rather nervous.. Haha I am not those people who changed jobs often! So I am feeling rather weird lately.

Anyway, my BFF Lynn suggested hi-tea at this nice instalgrammable cafe at Paya Lebar.. So there we are!~~ Nice place!!

National Day - Online "gathering"... The norms...

Well, I am used to it by now... 

Ever since Covid, we are stuck at home and our company took pains to deliver food and drinks to all of us in order to keep us engaged. We were supposed to wait and log online to eat/drink together with the teams... Well, it still felt strange but I am grateful to my HR for doing this. 

This time, it was for National Day celebration. 

And I had an accident - it was soooo stupid of me!

I received the food, took a few photos (as usual) and decided to put the roti-john onto a plate for easy eating. While I was pulling out my plate, somehow it slipped from my hand and smashed onto the floor. 

Well, the stupid thing is... I could see the plate dropped and bounced a few times. I could have caught the plate before it smashed into pieces. However while the plate dropped and bounced (without breaking), I thought the plate would not broke!!! What a FOOL! If I had reacted and catch the plate at this moment, it might not have smashed! 

But I continued to watch the plate bounced and eventually at the last bounce, it SMASHED. 

INTO PIECES.... 

WTF...

And the funny thing is... Stupidly, I used my hands to clean the floor and of cos, my fingers were CUT.

Just how stupid can I get?? I really wonder.... :((

So in the end, I could not attend the last online session with my team... :(

National Day cele with my Barbie Gine and her 小助手

Since it was a PH, we decided to catch up! And also I bought a 懒人沙发 and would need her help to set up.. I am really lazy and don't like to do such installation lor... 

We decided to just dabao from opposite my house - So-Good char-can-teng cafe... They have not-too-bad food! Can 粗吃!!

And hor, the funny thing is.. One of the reasons for Gine to come over was also to help me install my sofa... See? My sofa in the big box? I bought from TB and I have since left it inside the box for a few weeks cos I was tooooo lazy to open. I hate to install such things lor... 

So Gine offered to help me install.. After dinner, when we want to install my sofa, we realised the sofa did not require to be "installed"! Just need to take out from the box and ta-dah!!! It is done!! 

Wah laoooo.... I so goondoo lor! I thought must bring tools to install and screw.. hahaha paiseh!!!

So since no need the "installation service", haha Lukie-san decided to help me clean my fan so that they could take back the ladder. Hahah! So nice of him!!!

YEAH! my fans so clean now :)

CNY again!!! 2021 bring it on! :)

As usual, I had my reunion dinner at my mum's place... I love simple meal like this.. Yummy de! :)

The next day, we met my sis at Marina Sq and supposed to eat McD de, cos my mum had cravings for McD... She said we always have McD on CNY first day... So she wanted to continue this "Tradition".. LOL...

However we forgotten that this year was an exceptional year where there need to be social distancing lor... So... There was super LONG queue at McD! Cos they limit the number of people inside and sigh... I think it seem impossible for us to go in... Imagine McD has long queue??? Sigh... 

Really an exceptional year... 见怪不怪了啦...

We saw a quite-empty Chinese restaurant and decided to just had lunch there... The food is so-so only lor, but the bill wassss soooo scary! Oh well, I guess no choice lah, it was the first day of CNY mah, of cos must let ppl earn lah... Treat it as an ang bao for the staffs :)

And so scary was, when we were done and my sis were paying, 2 Social-distancing ambassadors walked in to spot-check! And sure enough, actually our table were quite close to the next table... So I think the owner was "caught".. Not sure if she will kena fine or not though.. So sad for these owners.. Sigh...

Anyway after lunch, we went to take some photos cos Mum said we never really took CNY photos before... So we took a few... Purposely left our masks on, so that we can remember these days... 

So funny... Realised my BIL donno what is "Boomerang"... LOL So I asked him to "move move move"... See how he move? LOL 

Then we went to my sis house to look at her new DIY loft... This cost more than $7k I heard... Quite nice wor... Can take up to 700kg, my BIL says de... Wow... 

Yeah! And I got an Ang pao from my sis and BIL for my BD-cum-CNY! :)) Thanks both!!!

HAPPY 2021!

Staycation again - Sheraton Towers... :)

Decided to go for another staycation again after 1 month! This time we at Sheraton Towers... 

Yeah finally my selfie stick is working!!! :p

We were so hungry (Actually it is only me that's hungry...) Had to wait until hi-tea time lor... aww....

I was so hungry that I ordered main dish as well - Laksa! 

It was yummy!!! Maybe cos I was too hungry too lah.. Hahaha...

Anyway their hi-tea set was so pretty and not bad! 

After a hearty hi-tea, we went back to the room to KO... I was very exhausted so I took a nap... And then we decided to take a walk to Orchard to windowshop... 

Were at Paragon and saw this new ramen store where ppl were queueing.. Haha being kaypo Singaporeans, we went to check-it-out... Hmmm seem like it was a super popular ramen store, with truffle ramen as its specialty...

Well, it stated that they only serve like 20 bowls a day... Huh? Really meh? So we ordered and it was still available lor.. Chay... I don't think we are that lucky.. I guess this was just a gimmick lah..

Not bad lah... The ramen was ok... 

We were quite bo liao so we were searching on what we can do on a Sat night at Orchard... Well, almost all massage parlours were packed lor... The earliest slot was 1am!! Wahlau... I think we cannot dong until 1 am lah...

So we decided to go MOVIE! I haven't been to movie theatre for more than 1 year lor! 

So we booked tickets to a show (Which none of us knew what it was)... And off we go! LOL

Hahah we were really so bo liao :p

"All the little things" were so-so.. altho the actors were superb! But I think the plot was a little slow.. There were some twists to the plot which made it interesting though. 

We literally KO when reached hotel... LOL

The next day we checked out early for breakfast at Kith cafe nearby... 

Really a relaxing staycation to end Jan!
