Ducktour! Finally...

Ok, finally, I went for the ducktour. Got free tickets from my sister, thus decided to go with some friends.

Actually, if not for the free tickets, I guess I would never have thought of boarding this ducktour thingie. Firstly, the charges are too high. It cost an adult about 30SGD to board this "land-to-water" transportation machine. And this whole trip will only last about an hour, with a tour guide on board. According to the tour guide, this "car cum boat" Duckies was brought in from the US navy. Thus, this is really a military machine! Got 2 such "Duckies", think one was named Dalla and .. er, I forgot the other name...

Anyway, everyone got this sticker when registering for the tickets at the counter.

Doesn't this reminded everyone of those guided tour group...

Anyway, the whole tour started with the landroute to marina bay. Then the excitement came when the duckie had to "smashed" onto the water when it arrived at the bay. But, to our disappointment, as it was low-tide that day, the water was not fierce and this "land-to-water" experience was thus not as exciting as I would want it to be.

As we were locals (we are the only locals among the rest of the passengers), the explanations and the sight-seeings were abit boring. We know almost everything the tour guide said, although we were surprised to see the new supreme court building. From land, we had never really notice the new building structure, but then, when we were on board the boat at marina bay, all the tall-buildings were suddently very obvious. The new supreme court got this round disc structure, similar to the UFO shape... So strange, what has supreme court got to do with spaceships??

Well, anyway, this trip ended in a flash and we were back to land!

Thus, for local Singaporeans who wanted to try this Ducktour, thinking that it might be fun, pls think twice.. Or rather pls think 3 times. This ride is not exciting at all and you will find that you were probably the only locals on board. And that makes you look stupid.
