Year 2006... A recap....

Once again, another year has passed... In a flash... I really have no idea whether Year 2006 has been a good one or a bad one. I really can't comment much, cos too many things have happened this year and a good mixture of pleasant events and of cos, the unhappy ones too...

A brief recap on the major happenings in my life in Year 2006:-

My first trip to Indonesia (Namely Jakarta and Bandung) in Feb during the CNY. Made some new friends like Emil, Elsie, and of cos Media's family like Uncle and Aunty, Wee Wee, etc. Tried a lot of new food like Gurame, Aloe Vera drink, ketang, etc. Quite a trip.... Click here to see this trip!

I passed my JLPT 2! It was really a miracle! I passed by 6 points only, but then, I PASSED!!! Yeah!!!

My Sister gave birth to a cute baby boy, named Roy! Click here to see how cute he is!!

Got really drunk on my Birthday in Feb. I had never been so drunk for such a long time. I was feeling very depressed, thus I gouge myself with drinks and I think it was becos of my depressed state tat I got drunk so easily. Then I had to really take note of my depressed condition. I have consulted some doctors, but most of them just asked me to take more rest...

Started to read comic books (like Love Hina and Doraemon) and got hooked on the Korean drama "Da-Chang-Jin" in March. This was a way for me to forget my depression. Click here to see post on this drama and click here for Love Hina!

Went to Zoo with Kermit, Nan and dear dear in April. This was my SECOND time to the zoo! The first time was when I was Primary one, which is when I was about 7 years old!! Hahah!! Click here to see the post on Zoo Trip and click here for the post on Night Safari!

Planned a trip to Hongkong to celebrate my Dear dear's birthday in May. He has never been to Hongkong before. Also took a boat ride to Macau from there... Both of us were very tired during the trip... But overall, it was good... Click here to see this post!

Got "saboed" and had to close my blog in June. Some unhappiness at work and thus led to my resignation in July.

Went to Kuantan with Sean, Media, Michael and Ah Hoon, together with all their kids. A wonderful 3D2N at Hyatt Resort. Click here to see our first day, click here for 2nd day and click here for the last day at Kuantan.

Started a new job immediately in July after my last day in my previous company. Might be a wrong choice as I was already very tired and sick of work by then. But this was an opportunity not to be missed.

Got another job offer from my long-sought-after company in Aug. But this offer came a bit late as I had already accepted my current job and was about 3 weeks into the job. After a serious on week considerations, weighing all the pros and cons, I have decided to stay with my current job. This is becos I felt tat it is very unfair to my current boss if I want to quit after just 3 weeks. And I have gone through 7 rounds of tests to get that job. Thus, I want to really put an effort in it.

Even until end Sept, I still having a hard time adapting to the new job. This was a totally new industry and one tat I have never dreamt of being with... I was down with depression. I kept looking forward to nothing but weekends and off-work.

Bought a new phone for my dear dear in Oct. It cost me nearly S$900. But I am happy that I am able to afford something that my dear dear like. He had been with me through those dark days when I had depression. I have decided tat I would buy and provide him with anything he want.

Went to KL for a short trip. This was an impromptu trip. I love such short trips with my dear dear, cos this means that I can spend time with him. Click here to see post on this trip.

I started a new Japanese Class in Nov. This school is called Bunka Japanese Language School. It was situated at Orchard Delfi. This class is different from JCS, whereby the emphasis is really on Conversational Japanese. Guiiltily, I have missed 3 lessons now, cos the lesson starts at 9am every Saturday and most of the time I can't wake up in time for the lesson! Zannen desu ne!!

Francis wedding took place in 19 Nov. It was a cosy and private party at Gallery Hotel. See post on this event (Click here).

Got early confirmation on my new job! My probation period is 6 months, but due to my GOOD Performance, I was given early confirmation! Yahhahha!!!

A new year outing to Sentosa on 2 Jan. It was my first time to Sentosa, after nearly a year.... It was a nice feeling and I think I will go there again! Click here to see the post!

A trip to Sentosa

It was 2nd day of a brand new year and since the weather was good, we decided to follow Sean and Wee Wee to Sentosa...

I admit that it has been super long since I went to Sentosa... But since we have nothing to do, no harm going there!

At the gantry, paying the entry tickets to Sentosa. FYI, the price is S$2 for each person, including the vehicle.

This is the new mono-rail that would be leading from Vivo City all the way to Sentosa. I donno when this would be ready, but I guess would be soon...

Once we were in Sentosa, we drove to Siloso beach.... Then while Rudi and the kids went to the Insects museum, the rest of us went to relax at the beach...

We found a seat at the Bikini bar and as usual, we started our drinking spree! It was nice to drink beer while under shade from the sun and enjoying the sea breeze at the sametime...

Besides beer, we ordered pizzas and chicky wings as well!!!

Then Rudi came to joined us after their Insect Museum's trip....

I decided to go check out the kids... and the ladies...

And time flies!!!! We reached Sentosa at 4pm and in a flash, it was already 7pm!!! The sky started to get darker and the kids have finished their baths....

And also, the guys have finished with their beers....

Sean had drink too much, so he is feeling a bit sleepy liao!!! Hahaha!!!
Anyway, we have decided to go Geylang for dinner... A famous Sambal Fish place...
So off we go!!!

The spread was good and we finished the food in a flash!!!


It was a good day out!!!
